A New York Federal Judge ruled last week that the USCIS must adhere to the Supreme Court Ruling in June reinstating DACA. Until now the USCIS has refused to do so. However that policy has ended and DACA is now reinstated as it was originally created by Obama back in 2012. On Monday December 07, 2020 the USCIS website has finally allow first time applicants to file applications. This marks the first time in four years that individuals are able to do so. If you were under the age of 31 on June 15, 2012, have continually resided in the U.S. since 2007 and entered when you were under sixteen years-old you may be eligible to file for DACA now! This new ruling also applies to individuals who currently have DACA and would like to travel outside of the United States. If you think this may apply to you give our office a call to schedule an appointment!
